Annotations, Player Size and Video Quality all in a Single Gear Button

YouTube Annotations & Video Size Settings Missing

Google is working on UI for all of it's product. Latest in the trend is YouTube Video Player. As, per the news and what we see above, Google has changed settings panel in YouTube Player. They have removed the annotations and player size settings. The two are now included along with quality options. Earlier the gear button was used for the quality menu only.

Before that, there was an option to edit quality and setting at same place:

Now, the gear button is a single point access for Annotations, Player Size and Video Quality. Look at the following screen for an embedded YouTube video in a website. In this the Player Size is missing as the video is embedded in the website.

But when you watch the video in YouTube directly you will notice the Player Size option also. Like this:

There are mix reviews coming, mostly negative for the new settings option, you can follow them or post your comment  here:

"How come the video size button with the big box makes the video small, and the video with the small box makes the video fill the page, that just doesn't make sense to me."

"guys i loved the old one i have to make 1 click more for anything i need now, pleeeease go back to how it was before?"

"Quit hiding useful one click features in menus and calling more steps simpler.  Simpler to look at, but more annoying to actually use."
